People’s Democratic Party (HDP) General Co-chairman Selahattin Demirtaş has met with European Parliament (EP) President Martin Schulz at his office in the Parliament.
The recent developments in the region and Turkey, election safety, Turkey’s EU membership and matters of management in Turkey are among the topics talked about during the meeting.
People’s Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairman Selahattin Demirtaş also met the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Anne Brasseur, and the delegation accompanying her in the Turkish parliament. The meeting was closed to the press.
The PACE delegation is also expected to visit refugee camps in the Kilis district of Gaziantep where Syrian refugees are staying.
