GUE/NGL President Gabi Zimmer has host a press conference called “The Escalating State of Violence in Turkey: Kurdish People under Attack”on Tuesday 12 January 2016 at 10 am.
The press conference was be held in the Anna Politkovskaya Press Room, PHS 0A50, European Parliament, Brussels, with guest speakers Mr. Osman Baydemir, HDP Deputy for Şanlıurfa, Member of the Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee, Former Mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality and Mr. Eyyup Doru, HDP Representative in Europe.
The current situation of illegal warfare against civil population in the kurdish cities of Turkey and the urgent neccesity to take action by the international community was highlited during the press conference.
